Candidates must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or ged, and are required to possess demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (Dap). One year of professional teaching experience in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred, along with an associate or bachelor's degree in early education or a related field.
