Description Substitute teachers should have a love of Christ, a love for students, and a love of classical education. The substitute must be able to provide classroom instruction to students as outlined in lesson plans, create a classroom that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students, maintain a safe and orderly environment, maintain the routines of the school and classroom procedures in which assigned, maintain a professional appearance, and take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect the students.
Teaching through the assigned curricula for a specific grade and subject May stand for a long period of time while teaching. Work in a traditional climate-controlled office environment. Work intermittently in outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds. Work in a highly stressful environment, dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a varied and diverse array of contacts. Maintain an organized and beautiful classroom that inspires learning Essential Expectations: Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Faithfully attend and financially support a local church whose beliefs are in agreement with PCS. Overtly support and act in accordance with Providence Classical School’s mission, values, and statement of faith.
