Core responsibilities
The residential youth care specialist provides care, supervision, and structure while building therapeutic relationships with youth aged 0-18, focusing on their success within a trauma-Informed environment. Daily tasks involve direct care of youth aged 10-17, who may be highly acute or aggressive, supporting their treatment process, and completing assigned duties.
Requirements summary
A bachelor of arts/Science degree in human services is strongly preferred, but a high school diploma/Ged plus two years of relevant youth experience will be considered. Candidates must pass a drug screening, extensive background check, and mandatory 4-Day therapeutic crises intervention training, including demonstrating proper physical techniques.
