The Summer Camp Counselor is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading fun, engaging, and educational activities for children in a group setting. Counselors ensure the safety, development, and well-being of all participants, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
This is a part time position and the shifts are 6:45 am - 12:30 pm and 12:30 pm - 6:00 pm.
Must be at least 16 years old. Experience in camps, youth programs, or working with children is preferred. Ability to plan and lead activities while ensuring camper engagement and safety. Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. CPR/AED certification required within 30 days of hire. Physical Requirements and Working Environment: Ability to lead and participate in physical activities such as swimming and team games. Must be able to perform physical tasks including reaching, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Capable of working in varying environments including exercise areas, pool facilities, and office spaces. Exposure to recreational environments, pool areas, and cleaning chemicals. Occasional exposure to bodily fluids or physically demanding situations during emergencies. Varying work hours Monday through Friday, 6:45 AM to 6:00 PM.
