Teacher assistant

This position assists the classroom teacher in implementing program planning, which includes developing individualized activities for each child in the classroom. Responsibilities also involve assisting staff with preschool children, helping teachers meet program goals, and maintaining accurate classroom records such as attendance and food data.

A minimum requirement is a high school diploma or ged, and candidates must obtain a child development associate credential within two years of hire at the organization's expense. Preferred qualifications include an associate, bachelor, or advanced degree in early childhood education or enrollment in a related program with at least 15 credits in early childhood education or child development.
