About the role

The Substitute Teacher supports the Classroom Teacher by participating in the planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate program experiences for an assigned group of children. This role operates under the direct supervision of a teacher while assisting with classroom activities.

The Substitute Teacher assists and supports the Classroom Teacher and may participate in the planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate program experiences for an assigned group of children. The Substitute Teacher is always under the direct supervision of a teacher assisting classroom teacher with planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate program experiences for an assigned group of children.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom Teacher with planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate program experiences for an assigned group of children.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow directions, make good judgments, and be reliable and dependable.
  • Exhibit sincere interest in working with young children.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word.

The base pay range reflects what Catholic Charities reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Candidates must be at least 16 years old and demonstrate the ability to follow directions, exercise good judgment, and be reliable. A sincere interest in working with young children and basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, are also required.
