We're partnering with a Michigan school district to hire a committed and student-focused Special Education Teacher for a full-time, school-based role. This opportunity is ideal for an educator who is passionate about inclusive instruction, individualized learning, and helping students with diverse academic and behavioral needs reach their fullest potential.
In this position, you will provide specialized instruction and targeted interventions to students receiving special education services across various educational settings. You’ll work closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to foster supportive, student-centered classrooms that promote academic achievement, independence, and social-emotional growth.
Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals. Adapt curriculum, assignments, and assessments to meet diverse learning needs. Develop, implement, and manage IEPs in compliance with Michigan and federal guidelines. Monitor student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies using data-driven practices. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support inclusive practices and positive behavioral supports. Communicate consistently with families regarding student growth and progress.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field. Strong skills in collaboration, instructional planning, and classroom management.
