Job description

Carolina School Services is hiring an Evaluating OT to support school-based OT evaluations and screenings across Raleigh and surrounding communities. This is an as-needed role to assist with evaluations at various school sites. Schedule & Location PRN / As-needed, based on evaluation needs Travel required: driving up to 1 hour to school sites Evaluations must be completed on-site; all additional paperwork can be completed from home Pay: $55–$65/hour, based on experience

Responsibilities

Evaluate students' functional abilities using standardized tests, observations, and interviews. Develop comprehensive reports that highlight strengths, barriers, and therapy needs. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to help create or revise Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Design and implement individualized therapy plans to enhance fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, visual perceptual and cognitive skills, as well as self-care and daily living skills. Collaborate with teachers, aides, and parents to seamlessly integrate therapy strategies into the classroom environment. Recommend modifications to the school environment to enhance accessibility for all students. Ensure compliance with IEP goals and legal requirements. Contribute to annual IEP reviews and triennial re-evaluations with enthusiasm! Required Skills: Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist. Proven experience in pediatric occupational therapy, preferably in a school setting. Strong understanding of standardized testing and assessment tools.
