Eliada Academy is seeking a compassionate and motivated Day Treatment Qualified Professional (QP) to support students within our therapeutic school setting. This position plays a vital role in helping children develop behavioral, emotional, and social skills that support long-term success both in and outside of the classroom.

The Day Treatment QP works closely with students, families, school staff, and treatment providers to create a structured, supportive, and trauma-informed environment focused on growth and stability.

Who We Are

Eliada Homes has been serving children and families in Western North Carolina since 1903 and is one of Asheville’s longest-running nonprofits. Our expansive 300+ acre campus provides a cradle-to-career continuum of services for more than 600 children and youth annually. Eliada Academy provides therapeutic educational services designed to help students overcome behavioral and emotional challenges while building the skills necessary to transition successfully into community school settings.

What You’ll Do Provide behavioral and emotional support to students within a therapeutic classroom setting Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned students and their treatment teams Implement Eliada’s Day Treatment model and therapeutic interventions to support student growth and success Develop, implement, and monitor Person-Centered Plans (PCPs) Complete case management activities and coordinate care with families, schools, and community providers Maintain timely and accurate documentation regarding student progress, interventions, and outcomes Support crisis intervention and de-escalation efforts when needed Collaborate with teachers, clinicians, medical providers, and other treatment team members Assist with intake processes and provide support to fellow QPs as needed Foster a safe, structured, and trauma-informed environment for students

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field from an accredited college or university is preferred; non-Human Service degrees will be considered. QP status is required. A minimum of two years’ experience working with the student population in a Day Treatment or residential setting using a behavioral model is preferred
