  • Collaborate with peers to ensure that all scholars receive the appropriate support, including the accommodations they need to successfully access grade-level content.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A California teaching credential in the assigned subject area(s) and a valid English Learner Authorization [https://www.ctc.ca.gov/credentials/leaflets/serving-english-learners-%28cl-622%29] are required. Applicants who will hold any of the following credentials by their start date are welcome to apply:
  • California Single Subject Credential in Science: Physics or Specialized: Physics (Clear or Preliminary). Applicants will be required to provide a copy of the credential, or, if in progress, a status letter from their credential program.
  • California University or District Intern Credential in Science: Physics. Applicants will be required to provide an intern-eligibility letter from their credential program.
  • California Single Subject Credential with a Specific Supplementary Authorization in Physics (Clear or Preliminary). Applicants will be required to provide a copy of the credential, or, if in progress, a status letter from their credential program.
  • Equivalent Out-of-State Credential transferring to California. Applicants will be required to provide a copy of their out-of-state credential.

Note

If you do not yet hold a California-equivalent English Learner Authorization, you may qualify for a temporary permit while transferring your credential.

Bachelor’s Degree

Applicants without a credential will be required to provide a copy of their transcript for evaluation to determine eligibility for an emergency teaching permit.

Applicants without a current credential or a verifiable pathway toward obtaining a California teaching credential will not be considered.
