Medical Assistant Trainee Traditional 9-Month Program

The medical assistant trainee must remain actively enrolled in the cocc medical assistant program, actively participate in all required coursework, labs, and clinical learning experiences, and complete assigned competency validations. Trainees must demonstrate progressive skill development while receiving and incorporating feedback from preceptors and supervisors.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or ged and be actively enrolled in the cocc medical assistant program, with the ability to test for national certification within 30 days of graduation. Successful completion requires obtaining one of several specified medical assistant certifications and an aha basic life support certification within 30 days of program completion, alongside agreeing to a two-Year, full-Time service commitment.
