Librarian Pool (2026-27 SY)

The school librarian acts as a leader, instructional partner, and teacher, facilitating access to information and instructing students and teachers on how to evaluate and use information and necessary technology. Responsibilities include developing and implementing a program to prepare students to be effective users of ideas and information, while also managing the library's physical and virtual spaces, staff, and budget.

A master's degree in library science is preferred, and candidates must possess a valid tn teaching license along with either certification as a media specialist through mlis coursework or the library information specialist prek-12 endorsement and a qualifying praxis 5312 score. Successful performance requires regular and reliable attendance and the ability to fulfill essential duties satisfactorily.
