The assistant will provide support to teachers and students within both general education and special education classrooms. Key duties involve collaboration, working under teacher direction, and effective communication with staff and parents.
Candidates must have experience working with students with special needs in a classroom setting and possess a clear understanding of educational needs for both special and general education students, including physical or sensory assistance. Minimum education requires a high school diploma plus an associate degree or two years of college study, or 60 semester hours, or a passing score on the Parapro Test, and must meet NCLB/ESEA requirements.

All Teachers/Instructional Staff hired after January 15th are considered term employees. This position is a term position that is effective for FY26 through June 18, 2026 only. You would need to re-apply for a position for FY27.
• Based on 25/26 Pay Plan. Newly hired individuals with previous experience in their field may receive salary credit for up to 5 years of experience related to the job being filled.
