Recreational Therapist (CTRS)

The recreational therapist provides care to individuals with physical and developmental disabilities using recreation and activity-Based interventions to address assessed needs for well-Being. Responsibilities include organizing and directing home and community-Based activities, transporting individuals, and completing comprehensive assessments and treatment plans.

Candidates must possess an active certification from the nctrc and a bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreation, along with current cpr and first aid certifications, and a negative tuberculin skin test. Job duties involve assisting individuals with self-Care, mobility, daily living activities, and community participation, alongside detailed administrative and documentation tasks.
