Core responsibilities

As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, you will conduct psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, and manage medications for children and adolescents. You will also build therapeutic relationships and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements summary

Candidates must have a master's degree from an accredited nursing program, pmhnp-Bc certification, and at least one year of independent psychiatric experience. An active pennsylvania pmhnp/Crnp/Apn license, dea license, and state prescriptive authority are also required.
