Special Education Teacher | Elementary | Diverse Learning Environments

Make a meaningful impact by supporting elementary students across a range of instructional settings focused on academic progress, positive behavior, and social-emotional development.

In this role, you will provide individualized and small-group instruction, implement behavior supports, and help students build the skills needed to succeed both in and out of the classroom. You’ll work closely with families, paraprofessionals, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure consistent support and measurable student growth.

Role at a Glance

Collect and analyze student data to track progress and inform instruction. Deliver targeted instruction in both resource and inclusive classroom settings. Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Create a structured, supportive classroom environment that encourages independence and confidence. Partner with general education teachers to provide co-taught instruction in core subjects such as math and ELA. Build strong, collaborative relationships with students, families, and school staff to support overall student success.

Requirements

Familiarity with IDEA requirements and IEP processes. Valid Nevada Special Education teaching license or eligibility to obtain. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related discipline.
