Description Position SummaryUniversity Christian School is seeking a caring and dedicated Extended Care Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for students beyond the regular school day. This part-time role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children, supporting their academic and social growth, and fostering a Christ-centered atmosphere.
Supervise and engage students in a structured extended care program. Provide a safe and welcoming environment that reflects Christian values. Assist with homework, enrichment activities, and playtime. Plan and facilitate age-appropriate games, crafts, and activities. Ensure proper check-in and check-out procedures for students. Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment. Uphold the mission and values of University Christian School in all interactions.
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in education or child development preferred. Prior experience working with children in a school, childcare, or ministry setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to maintain patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude. Commitment to Christian values and the mission of University Christian School. Must pass background screening requirements. Schedule Afternoon and early evening hours on school days (schedule may vary). Up to 15 hours per week.
