Part-Time American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter

The primary duties involve providing part-Time interpreting services for vocational rehabilitation (Vr) staff and consumers who are deaf, hard of hearing, or deaf-Blind, ensuring communication access to all necessary vr services. Additional responsibilities include identifying and recruiting qualified vendor interpreters, maintaining activity records, and acting as an information and referral person regarding accessibility and accommodations.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or ged, along with three years of interpreting experience in the human services field and current membership in the registry of interpreters for the deaf (Rid). Applicants also need a valid driver's license and must hold a current national sign language interpreting credential or be actively pursuing one within 12 months.
