The Occupational Therapist II job participates as a member of a self-directed departmental team as well as a member of an interdisciplinary patient care team.

Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: Licensed (or licensure eligible) by the Commonwealth of Virginia as an Occupational Therapist Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment: Current license by the Commonwealth of Virginia as an Occupational Therapist Current CPR Certification if required by clinic or practice area Experience REQUIRED: Minimum of 1 year of work experience as an Occupational Therapist Experience PREFERRED: Previous experience with evaluations and interventions (physical and psycho-social) Education/training REQUIRED: Graduate of an accredited School of Occupational Therapy Education/training PREFERRED: Masters or Doctoral Degree from an accredited School of Occupational Therapy Successful challenge of the VCUHS Occupational Therapy Clinical Ladder Independent action(s) required: Evaluation and treatment of patients with routine diagnoses.

Interaction with the interdisciplinary team and self-directed work team.
Customer interaction.
Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable): Occupational Therapist provides supervision for Rehab Technician, COTA staff, volunteers and students doing clinical rotations.
Additional position requirements: Cross-coverage to other treatment teams as needed.
Saturday/holiday coverage on a rotating basis and flexibility in work hours as needed to accommodate departmental needs as applicable.
