Job description

  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: Oversee Youth Academy Training days and assist with field set-up and field care.
  • Serve as onsite point of contact for Youth Academy events.
  • Assist with Youth Academy/Youth Baseball & Softball special events including but not limited to PLAYBALL, tournaments, and try-outs.
  • Proactively communicate with coaches and staff to resolve any issues that may emerge before, during, or after events at the facility.
  • Understanding of the policies and rules of high school baseball and softball.
  • Experience running youth baseball tournaments and/or camps preferred.
  • Oversee gameday operations of RBI league play at the Rangers Youth Academy.
  • Meet with each team’s coach and umpires as needed prior to games.
  • Communicate any potential schedule changes related to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Record all scores and final results.
  • Operate Gamechanger for all Nike RBI league play.
  • All other duties assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to perform in fast changing environments. Strong attention to detail. Ability to communicate well and efficiently to staff, teams and supervisors. Hours of availability on nights, weekends, and potentially holidays. Ability to work outside in extreme weather including heath, cold and rain for extended periods of time. Ability to lift, ush, pull and/or carry up to 50lbs. Must pass drug screening and background check. Must complete compliance training in accordance to MLB’s Youth Protection Policy.
