Special Education Teacher

The teacher will deliver engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards within a 12:1:1 therapeutic support classroom, focusing on academic, behavioral, and social-Emotional needs. Responsibilities also include collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and tracking student progress related to iep goals.

Candidates must possess a new york state special education certification, including ela certification for grades 7-9, to support high school students. Preferred qualifications include over three years of high school teaching experience and prior work in therapeutic or behavioral classroom settings.
