- Primary Responsibilities Support teachers with classroom activities, such as storytelling, arts and crafts, music, and playtime Interact positively with children to encourage Spanish language development through modeling and conversation Assist with setting up and cleaning activity areas and materials Help supervise children during indoor and outdoor play Support transitions between activities, mealtimes, and rest periods Follow all health, safety, and confidentiality guidelines Model kindness, respect, and cultural appreciation in all interactions Position Requirements Must be at least 16 years of age Interest in early childhood education or working with children Spanish proficiency preferred but not required-must be willing to support a Spanish immersion environment Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Must be able to complete and pass a background check Must meet state/local childcare volunteer requirements Commitment Minimum of 2 hours per week preferred, with flexible scheduling Commitment to reliability and open communication with center staff
