The Education Registered Behavior Technician provides direct behavioral services in the Children’s Education Program, working under the supervision of a Behavior Analyst. Responsibilities include implementing educational and behavioral support plans, collecting data, and training staff on strategies and supports.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of experience working with the developmentally disabled population. Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician and crisis intervention qualifications are also required.
The Teacher Aide / RBT provides direct person-centered behavioral services in the Children’s Education Program. The RBT works under the supervision of a Behavior Analyst and in collaboration with Behavioral Services and Education Administration to conduct observations, assist in writing behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs, provide training on behavior intervention plans/skill acquisition plans, oversee data collection on BIPs and skill acquisition programs, promote PBIS and Tier 1 supports and provide direct intervention as necessary.
