Teacher Aide - Head Start - Juneau

The teacher aide assists the lead teacher in all center activities, including executing lesson plans, conducting family interactions, and incorporating various component plans like education, health, and disability support. Essential functions involve maintaining a positive environment, assisting with material preparation, modeling behavior during mealtimes, and supporting developmental screenings and individual learning plans.

Minimum qualifications require a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of experience working with young children in a group setting, and current first aid/Cpr and food worker certifications. Candidates must also obtain or be enrolled in a program leading to a child development associate (Cda) credential within two years of hire.
