The Early Childhood Educator Aide assists Early Childhood Educators and the Administrator in all aspects of the Child Care Center, including carrying out lesson plans and supporting large and small groups of children. Essential functions involve assisting with group management, evaluating activity appropriateness, preparing materials, and providing direct care such as feeding and toileting support.
A minimum requirement for this role is a High School Diploma or equivalent, coupled with two years of experience working with young children in a group setting. Preferred qualifications include a current First Aid/CPR Certificate and a Child Development Associate Certificate.
Assist the Early Childhood Educators and Administrator in all facets of Child Care Center activities. Incumbent will assist with carrying out lesson plans, incorporating component plans and assist large and small groups of children.
The majority of work is performed in a professional office setting and is generally sedentary, requiring routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying of items weighing less than 40 lbs. Travel on small aircraft or ferry may be required.
