SPED Teacher

The special education teacher is responsible for implementing research-Based instructional strategies tailored to individual student needs across all disabilities and gifted/Talented students from preschool onwards. This role involves developing and maintaining student special education programs, coordinating meetings, implementing ieps, and supervising support staff.

A bachelor's degree in education is required, with a master's degree preferred, along with an alaska teacher certificate endorsed in special education. Preferred qualifications include three years of education experience, experience with intensive needs, and familiarity with inupiaq culture and braille.
