MS/HS Language Arts/Social Studies Teacher

The teacher is responsible for implementing research-Based instructional strategies to direct student learning and achievement, ensuring all instruction is individualized based on learning style, rate, and achievement level. Duties include maintaining subject matter competency, employing appropriate assessment methods, and developing programs to accommodate identified student needs.

A bachelor's degree in education is required, with a master's degree preferred; experience is weighted based on the degree held (6 years with bachelor's, 8 years with master's). Candidates must possess an alaska teacher certificate, and three years of prior education experience, along with experience in inupiaq language, history & culture, is preferred.
