Pre-requisites for Position (Qualifications Standards) An equivalent/applicable combination of education and/or experience to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position required with teaching in continuing education or community education. Non-credit Community Education compensation is based on Pay Levels ranging from 1-5. A new faculty’s Pay Level is determined by the campus supervisor and ranges $20-$60 per hour. Pay Levels are determined from varying degrees of expertise and evidence in the instructional area. Welcoming. Innovative. Focused on Student Success. These principles reflect the soul of CMC. Bilingual (English/Spanish) or conversational language abilities preferred. Colorado Mountain College requires that employees perform their assigned duties within the State of Colorado. The College further expects employees to accurately report their work location at all times. Failure to do so impairs the College's ability to ensure compliance with tax, payroll, employment, information security, and operational requirements. Essential Duties The following responsibilities and activities are listed to maintain consistency in the application of expectations and align job duties with evaluation and promotion procedures. Teaching responsibilities expected of all faculty include teaching course load as assigned. To teach classes as assigned by designated supervisor. To prepare appropriate lesson plans for each course in accordance with approved course outcomes. To develop a relationship with students & staff that is professional and encourages teacher/student communication. To assist in the recruitment of students, as appropriate. When agreed upon, and as appropriate, to assist in the evaluation of curriculum and instructional performance. To represent the college in a professional manner throughout the communities and college district by promoting a positive public image. To complete all required annual CMC training courses. Ex. Title IX, Digital Accessibility, and Data Security and Privacy. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Supervision of the Position This position will report to the campus non-credit Community Education coordinator or campus designee. Working Conditions This position requires constant sitting, occasional walking, standing and driving; occasional handling objects, pushing/pulling; frequent reaching with hands/arms, and use of finger movements; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 lbs. Constant written and oral communication and the ability to reason and analyze and perform calculations occasionally. Work is performed using a computer and standard office equipment daily and driving a vehicle occasionally. CMC is committed to the full inclusion of all qualified individuals. Of these locations, three are “traditional” residential—Spring Valley, Leadville, and Steamboat Springs; students in Breckenridge, Edwards, Spring Valley and Steamboat Springs have access to college-owned apartment-style housing. The majority of the college’s financial support comes from local property taxes, not tuition or state revenues.
