Description Program Assistant to implement after-school programming at our school-based middle school sites in collaboration with the Patchogue Medford, William Floyd & Riverhead School Districts. Must have at least one year of working with youth/adolescents. Spanish Speaking Preferred.
Work cooperatively with the Project Coordinator to develop and implement the after-school program for at-risk students.
Assist with supervision of students. Assist with program logistics, discipline, and general organization. Maintain records as required. Assist with data entry. Develop program lessons and activities. Assist with maintaining program supplies. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the discretion of management and administration formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
1. Ability to work as part of a team with co-workers and with other colleagues as necessary. 2. Cultural sensitivity and the ability to relate/work with diverse groups, community agencies, schools, and the public. 3. Strong organizational skills with a focus on detail. 4. Ability to follow directions, and communicate well (orally and in writing).
High School Diploma and relevant experience working with adolescents. One year of experience working with youth. (i.e. summer camp, coaching, tutoring...)
A Valid Driver's License and Insured Vehicle. PPD (TB test required with proof of results; no more than 1 year old)
