Core responsibilities
The associate will provide intensive, individualized college and career counseling, as well as high school graduation support, to approximately 120 11th and 12th-Grade students, aiming for strong, financially feasible post-Secondary plans upon graduation. Key duties include building trust with parents, tracking data in salesforce, collaborating with school partners, and planning/Delivering group programming on topics like financial aid and college essays.
Requirements summary
Candidates must have at least 2 years of college access experience, including knowledge of financial literacy and college applications, coupled with a passion for supporting young people and addressing systemic injustices. The role requires strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills, comfort with ambiguity, flexibility for evening meetings, and the ability to be physically present across the dc area daily.
