Core responsibilities
This role assists the head trainer in all areas of sports medicine, including coverage for practices and competitions, pre-Game/Post-Game treatments, and delivering athletic training services such as prevention, evaluation, and acute care for varsity student-Athletes. Responsibilities also include maintaining medical records, supervising students, coordinating inventory, and supervising graduate assistant athletic trainers.
Requirements summary
A bachelor's degree in athletic training, sports administration, or a related field is required, with no prior experience necessary. Candidates must be certified by the board of certification (Boc) and obtain a texas athletic trainer license or temporary permit by the hire date.
