Position Details
This recruitment is open until filled and will be used to establish a pool of applicants for the 2026-2027 Academic Year. The pool is continuously accepting applications to be reviewed throughout the academic year. This recruitment may be used to fill multiple positions at the Adjunct or Lecturer-Career level. The Opportunity: Washington State University and the College of Nursing invites applications for caring, committed nurses to work as part-time instructors in the nursing program on the Spokane and Yakima campuses. This is an exceptional opportunity for a person who wants to make a significant difference working collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff within of the College of Nursing across all campuses and WSU Health Sciences, as it continues to create both knowledge and community impact across the state of Washington and beyond. We are seeking candidates with clinical experience in all nursing specialties including: Long Term Care Medical Surgical Pediatrics Obstetrics Psychiatric and Community Health Nursing This is a non-tenure track position with the opportunity for a 4.5-month or 9-month appointment, depending on availability and need. Successful candidates will be assigned to one of the following departments within the College of Nursing, based on specialty and experience, unless a specific department preference is provided in the application materials. FTE: Variable Appointment Term: 4.5 months or 9 months depending on availability and need (typical schedule is during the academic year, August 16 - May 15) Continuous/Temporary: Temporary Temporary End Date: Temporary positions are expected to end on May 15, 2027. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment. Annual 9-month, Academic Salary: $71,417.14 (100% FTE) - If Non-Doctoral Degree Held $75,761.66 (100% FTE) - If Doctoral Degree Held Salary to be pro-rated based upon FTE and appointment length at time of offer. Commensurate with experience and qualifications. In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
