Job description

Position Details

This position is part of the teaching faculty within Health Sciences Department offering dual credit courses to high school students. Courses will be taught in various formats (in-person, on-line, hybrid, or multi-modal) on the KC campuses in Kilgore or Longview or at various high school locations.

Responsibilities

This is an adjunct faculty position. Responsibilities will include teaching one or more courses, assisting students, developing appropriate course syllabi, checking and responding to KC email daily, submitting various documentation in a timely manner, and fulfilling other responsibilities as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

For academic transfer courses, the successful candidate for this position will have a masters degree or higher and a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the subject area.

For career and technical education courses, various qualifications will be considered, such as degree earned and work experience.

Salary Range

  • & Fringe Benefits:
  • Salary for adjunct faculty members is based upon level of education and range from $1,800 per 3-hour course for a master's degree to $2,000 per 3-hour course for a doctorate.

  • Limited Part-Time Retirement Plan

Kilgore College does not participate in the federal Social Security program.

All full-time positions are located in Kilgore, TX. No fully work from home positions are available at this time. All employees must be available to physically present to work on the Kilgore, TX or Longview, TX Campus. Some Part-Time and Adjunct positions may be offsite but the candidate MUST live in the State of Texas.
