Associate Teacher - Claytor Preschool

This role involves working as part of a teaching team to assist the teacher in preparing, planning, and executing daily head start classroom operations, including building relationships with families and implementing program standards. The associate teacher will also assume the teacher role during absences and work with families to promote program involvement.

Candidates must attend required training, maintain or work towards a child development associate credential or an associate’s degree, and possess knowledge of child development and relevant regulations like head start performance standards. Required physical capabilities include lifting up to 75 pounds and working in a potentially loud classroom environment.
