About the role

The teacher will create and implement lesson plans aligned with educational standards to support school readiness. Responsibilities include assessing student progress, maintaining an inclusive environment, and collaborating with staff to improve programs.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teachers to join our team in Whiteville, NC. As a teacher, you will support children’s school readiness by providing a safe, culturally and linguistically responsive, and developmentally appropriate Head Start classroom environment.

Qualifications

  • Child Development Associate (CDA) or state equivalency
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field
  • Experience teaching in a classroom setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create and implement effective lesson plans

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and improve educational programs
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
