Youth Development Center Afternoon Teaching Assistants

The afternoon teaching assistant is responsible for providing care to infant, toddler, or preschool children in a licensed center environment, ensuring they receive proper feeding, playtime, educational activities, rest, and hygiene assistance. This role also requires assuring child safety by following procedures and communicating observations appropriately with teachers and parents.

Candidates must embody ymca values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, and be at least 14 years old. Prior experience in early childhood or education is beneficial, and cpr, first aid, and child abuse prevention training will be provided within 90 days of hire.
