• Job Summary Immaculate Conception Catholic School, Union is seeking a Preschool Substitute Teacher to provide a nurturing, safe, and developmentally supportive learning environment for children ages 3–5 when the regular classroom teacher is absent.
• This role involves following established lesson plans, supporting early childhood growth, maintaining classroom routines, and ensuring the well‑being of each child.
• Key Responsibilities

• Follow lesson plans and daily routines provided by the preschool teacher or school staff.
• Use age‑appropriate, play‑based activities to support early literacy, numeracy, motor skills, social development, and independence.
• Encourage creativity and exploration through storytelling, singing, hands‑on activities, centers, and guided play.
• Adapt activities to meet the developmental needs and learning styles of individual children.
• Maintain a warm, respectful, and structured classroom environment that fosters emotional, social, and behavioral growth.
• Establish and reinforce consistent routines, including transitions, cleanup, and quiet time.
• Use positive behavior‑guidance strategies to support appropriate behavior and gently redirect misbehavior.
• Promote cooperation, participation, and positive peer interactions.
• Provide encouragement, emotional support, and individual attention as needed.

Qualifications: & Requirements

• High school diploma required; coursework or a degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development preferred.
