Qualifications
● Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church (required)● Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Catholic Studies, or related field (Master’s in Theology or Divinity preferred)● Missouri State Teaching Certification (preferred) or willingness to obtain certification● Catechist certification or willingness to pursue Archdiocesan catechetical formation (required)● Strong knowledge of Sacred Scripture, Church doctrine, Sacramental theology, Catholic moral teaching, and Church history● Commitment to the teachings, traditions, and magisterium of the Catholic Church● Ability to integrate faith formation with rigorous academic instruction● Experience teaching in a Catholic, urban, and/or college‑preparatory setting (preferred)● Ability to foster respectful dialogue, critical thinking, and theological reflection● Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills● Proficiency with instructional technology, Google applications, and student data systems The employed person is expected to: Articulate and uphold the policies, procedures, mission, and vision of the St. Louis Archdiocese and Cardinal Ritter College Preparatory High School. Properly plan and deliver quality instruction using the Gradual Release Model; create assessments that support higher‑order thinking; integrate instructional technology; and implement project‑based learning. Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning, support student engagement, and utilize the school’s online data system and Google applications. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to the vocation of teaching and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues. Compensation Based on degree level and years of experience (somewhat negotiable); includes a comprehensive benefits package.
