Starting Hourly Rate Based on Qualifications

Job Summary Effectively implement developmentally appropriate programs and activities that engage members in the area of academic success Principal duties & responsibilities:

  • Safety
  • Ensure Club safety – check equipment, supplies, etc. prior to beginning activities
  • Report unsafe situations to Site Director
  • Address Club member behavior concerns as they arise
  • Communicate Club member behavior concerns to Site Director
  • Programs & Activities
  • Lead academic programs and activities as outlined in program plans
  • Support Club Members in homework and high yield learning activities
  • Provide support as a reading tutor
  • Enforce rules and policies posted in the building
  • Distribute and track program equipment
  • Tracking
  • Sign members into every activity to ensure accurate participation tracking
  • Submit sign-in sheets to Site Director and/or front desk

Minimum Qualifications

  • Required
  • Must be an active student enrolled in at least 6 credits
  • Please note that students are not permitted to work in Federal Work-Study positions during scheduled class times
  • Detail oriented
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to prioritize tasks and be able to work in a team-oriented environment

Upon successful submission of your application, you will be considered for future part-time student employee opportunities and your application will be on file as a potential candidate who could possibly fill a position if or when the need arises.

NOTE

You will need to re-apply at the beginning of each semester for work-study/student positions due to any school or work-study changes that may have occurred changing your status. Each semester, the applications for each position will be refreshed with new applications of those who re-apply to keep the applicant pool current for supervisors.
