The Junior Staff member is responsible for the safety and supervision of Club members while delivering quality programs and high-yield activities under the direction of the Youth Development Supervisor. Key duties include program development and facilitation, ensuring program area safety and cleanliness, and providing guidance to volunteers.
Candidates must be at least 16 years old and entering their Junior Year of High School, and must possess a Boys & Girls Club membership and a passion for working with youth. Required skills include excellent communication, adaptability, proficiency in Microsoft Suite, flawless ethics, and a safety-oriented mindset.
Minimum 1 year experience as a Club member. Participation in Keystone Program. WORKING CONDITIONS Work environment is varied, divided between typical office setting and roaming field work. Must be able to complete work satisfactorily despite significant, frequent distractions throughout the workday. Workload and working hours may fluctuate throughout the year. Split shifts and longer than 8-hour days may be necessary. Work may require frequent and unexpected shifts in attention or direction. May be required to provide programming directly for youth and/or teen members. Occasional Saturday or late evening programming or events may occur where attendance and/or assistance is required.
