Position Summary

  • The Division of Rheumatology is seeking to hire a work-study student, to perform a variety of office and clerical duties to support the Unit Administrator as well as Faculty. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional office environment. The selected candidate will assist with a variety of general office duties and contribute to the day-to-day operations of the division. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, answering the phone, copying, scanning, filing, database entry, confidential record keeping, support with special events, errands, processing mail, and/or any other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented team player who demonstrates: A professional attitude and strong work ethic Excellent organizational and time-management skills Strong written and oral communication skills Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively, as well as independently Must exhibit a professional demeanor, have appropriate office etiquette, organized and task-oriented, and must be responsible for completing assigned tasks, with accuracy, and meeting deadlines. Typical work hours will be M-F, between the hours of 8:00AM – 5:00PM. Work schedules are flexible and will be worked out with the supervisor before beginning employment. Must be able to work a minimum of 15-28 hours per week. Applications are encouraged from all student-employment/work-study eligible students. Strong preference will be given to individuals that are work-study awarded.

Ability to operate a variety of office equipment, such as copiers, fax machines, and personal computers. Intermediate level of experience using Microsoft Office products. Ability to communicate both verbally and written. Ability to perform task accurately and efficiently. Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to multitask and work independently
