Job description
- We are currently seeking Registered Nurses to participate in our Perioperative Transition Program (PTP) - OR Training Program!
- Our PTP Program offers novice RNs an excellent opportunity to develop intra-operative clinical and professional skills.
- In this comprehensive program, you will participate in both classroom and OR suite-based training, rotating through various surgical procedures while learning both the scrub and circulating role of an O.R.
- RN.
- TGH utilizes the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) Periop 101: A Core Curriculum combined with dedicated educators and preceptors to train new perioperative nurses in a structured program.
- Please note: RNs selected for this training program will be asked to give a minimum 3-year dedication to OR Nursing at TGH Davis Island Main Campus after successful completion of orientation.
- Trainees will be placed at either the Davis Island Main Level 1 Trauma OR, 4K Women’s Center OR, Cardiac/Vascular/Transplant OR (CVTOR), or 6K Robotic Center of Excellence OR.
- Applicants are required to complete an application and attend one of the designated information sessions to be considered for this opportunity.
- Information sessions will take place at the Valdez Auditorium on the TGH Davis Islands campus on April 23 (6:00–8:00 p.m.) & in the education class room located in H005 Small Classroom on May 13 (8:00-10:00).

Participate in the implementation of clinical support programs and quality assurance activities to ensure optimal care throughout the healthcare continuum.

- Need: Florida RN license; BCLS required BSN strongly preferred 1 – 2 years of Clinical RN experience preferred, but not required

- Surgi-Center experience a plus
- Hours:
- Monday-Friday, 8- hour shifts flexed between 7:00 am - 12:00 am, with weekend rotation if needed for clinical experience during the program Holiday, weekend, on-call, stay-late coverage upon completion of program Shift to be determined at end of program by Surgical Services Leadership.
