Child Development Technician (Kids First, Fort Smith, AR)

The child development technician assists the early childhood development specialist in providing care and intervention to young children aged birth to five with developmental delays and special medical needs. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care such as feeding, diapering, and dressing, as well as establishing learning environments and applying curriculum based on treatment plans.

The minimum requirement is a high school diploma or ged plus six months of experience in child care, though additional education like ccot, cda, aa, or a bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute for the experience. Applicants must also be able to perform constant and frequent physical activities associated with caring for young children.
