Teacher Assistant

The teacher assistant supports the teacher in planning and providing individualized instruction to young children with disabilities and typical peers, which includes assisting with curriculum execution and classroom environment setup. Responsibilities also involve implementing developmental assessments, enforcing behavior rules, and managing daily operational tasks like snack administration and ensuring classroom safety.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or ged, and are required to complete the department of children and families (Dcf) 45 hours childcare training, obtaining cpr certification. Demonstrated experience working with children is preferred, along with the ability to promote teamwork, take initiative, and successfully pass a comprehensive background check process.
