Core responsibilities
The behavior support specialist develops behavioral guides in clear, measurable terms, trains individuals and staff on these guides, and monitors target behaviors using various data collection methods. Responsibilities also include participating in isp development and performing functional analysis of challenging behaviors.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a master's degree or higher in a relevant field (Psychology, special education, etc.), or hold a pa behavior specialist license, or have a bachelor's degree supervised by a qualified professional. A minimum of two years of experience working with the intellectual disability and/Or autistic population, including experience with functional behavioral assessments and positive behavioral supports, is required.
