  • RESPONSIBILITIES: Create a safe, engaging environment throughout the framework of soccer games Thorough knowledge of age-specific soccer rules for Grades K-8 (age 6-14) Positively interact with youth, coaches, parents/guardians, and team members Referee games within specific age group soccer rules Provide positive feedback to participants and coaches during and after games Communicate with other Park District staff, supervisors, and team leaders as needed Perform other related duties as assigned, based on agency needs Actively contribute to the Park District's sustainability goals Perform other related duties as assigned, based on agency needs

  • RESPONSIBILITIES: Actively support the safety program that will effectively control and reduce accidents Obey the practical safety rules, regulations, and procedures established by the Wilmette Park District safety program that are pertinent to the activities conducted by the department Become familiar with and follow the safety procedures of the Wilmette Park District, including, but not limited to, fire, severe weather, and evacuation procedures Promptly report all unsafe actions, practices, or conditions observed to the immediate supervisor, Human Resources/Risk Management division Attend and participate in required safety training

  • CERTIFICATIONS: U. S Soccer Federation certification preferred Must possess CPR/First Aid certificates within three months of hiring, provided by the Park District Complete annual District trainings, including, but not limited to, Sexual Harassment Training annually and Mandated Reporter training every three year.

  • ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described herein are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The general work area is indoors, in a smoke-free environment, with controlled temperature and fluorescent lighting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The outdoor work area depends on the season.

  • Typical program hours: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM General hours of duty will be approved by the Recreation Supervisor – Sports and the Recreation General Manager PT3 employees working fewer than 600 hours receive the following benefits: individual skating membership; individual pool and beach membership; one beach parking decal; 25% off the resident rate for golf off peak limited play (employee and family); 25% off the resident rate for tennis membership (employee and family); individual fitness membership with 25% off the resident rate for family; 25% off the resident rate for recreational program classes, group lessons, ice private lesson rental, and facility rental (employee and family); and golf and tennis pro shop items at cost + 15%.
