Elementary Learning Specialist (Special Education Teacher)

The learning specialist will provide individualized and inclusive instruction, primarily through integrated co-Teaching (Ict) models, and develop and implement personalized learning plans aligned with students’ ieps to achieve measurable goals. Responsibilities also include closely collaborating with general education teachers, monitoring student progress, and creating engaging, differentiated lessons.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree and a valid nys teaching certification for students with disabilities (Birth-2nd, grades 1-6, or all grades). A minimum of two years of teaching experience in an urban school setting and two years of experience providing setss or ict is required, with a master's degree preferred.
