Academic Instructor - Reading

The instructor prescribes individual and group lessons to help students overcome difficulties in subjects like reading and mathematics, while also conducting and managing academic classes in various vocational and life skills areas. Duties include maintaining classroom discipline, fostering a positive atmosphere, coordinating curriculum with career tech instructors, and maintaining detailed student records.

Candidates must possess strong knowledge of the subject area and academic teaching practices, along with high levels of communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills to effectively motivate and educate students. A bachelor's degree in education or equivalent experience, along with one to two years of related experience, is required, along with a valid state driver's license and teaching certification.
