Job Summary

Job Duties
- Deliver lectures and hands-on training aligned with the course curriculum and industry standards.
- Demonstrate proper techniques for emergency medical procedures, including patient assessment, airway management, and trauma care.
- Facilitate classroom discussions and interactive learning experiences.
- Assess student progress through exams, practical evaluations, and assignments.
- Ensure compliance with CAAHEP/CoAEMSP, state, and national EMS education guidelines.
- Maintain a positive and professional learning environment that supports student success.
- Participate in curriculum development and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Support program accreditation efforts and documentation as required by CoAEMSP.
- Engage in professional development and maintain current knowledge of EMS education standards.
- Collaborate with faculty, administration, and clinical partners to ensure effective instruction and clinical integration.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with current paramedic certification and instructor credentials recognized by state or national EMS authorities Two (2) years of full-time paramedic field experience

This instruction must align with the course curriculum, CAAHEP/CoAEMSP accreditation standards, and the policies of Maysville Community and Technical College (MCTC) and the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS). The Lead Instructor demonstrates proper techniques for emergency medical procedures, including patient assessment, airway management, and trauma care. This role includes teaching, curriculum development, student advising, professional development, community engagement, and institutional service in alignment with the college’s mission and accreditation standards.
