Job Duties
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include but aren’t limited to
- Teaching approximately 15-20 contact hours per week per semester in the classroom, skills lab and/or clinical setting
- Maintaining weekly office hours
- Advising Students
- Participating on college or system committees
- A successful

Minimum Qualifications
- The successful candidate will have
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related healthcare field (Master’s preferred).
- Nurse faculty in a practical nurse program shall have a minimum of an associate degree with a major in nursing from an accredited college or university. (Bachelor’s preferred, educational plan required for obtaining BSN).
- The nurse faculty shall hold a temporary work permit or a current unencumbered license or privilege to practice as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
- The nursing faculty shall document a minimum of two (2) years full time or equivalent experience as a registered nurse within the immediate past five (5) years and shall have and maintain expertise in the clinical or functional area of responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred experience is Master's degree in Nursing and prior teaching and elearning course development.
